SITE MANAGER

Description

This position supports operations at Kihaguzi. The main purpose of the position is to facilitate effective and efficient operations and also facilitate business development.

 

 

Responsibilities
  • Key result areas include: ensuring that the quarry meets all statutory obligations, providing equipment and working tools, ensuring a safe and secure working environment for quarry staff, and taking care of quarry property.
  • Collect action traffic lights from all quarry functions, update traffic lights weekly, and report on performance. - Ensure accurate and up-to-date minutes and action traffic lights, and timely reports.
  • The administrator will develop goods, services and materials forecasts and review plans on a semi-annual basis. They will be responsible for procuring goods and services.
  • The job description includes the following duties: Availability of goods, services and materials forecasts in agreed formats and agreed times; proper accountability for funds, goods and services; proof of value for money; risk management; business development; and record-keeping until the operations expand to require a full time accounts assistant person.
Qualifications
  • A good degree from a recognized university, preferably Business administration/management
  • A minimum of 5 years working experience
  • High level of integrity
  • Practical experience working effectively in a managerial role
  • Ability to employ critical thinking skills and work independently to solve problems and contribute to the achievement of strategic intentions.
